Privacy policy

Evenset has no accounts and no cloud. Your workouts, exercises, templates, notes and heart rate data stay on your phone. The only thing that can leave the phone is an anonymous usage count, and you can switch it off in Settings.
Who we are
Evenset is a workout tracker for iPhone and Android, published by the Evenset team. For anything in this document, write to support@evenset.net.
What stays on your phone
Everything you enter or record in the app is stored in a local database on your device:
- workouts, exercises, sets, weights, reps, distances, durations and rest times;
- templates, notes and your settings;
- heart rate readings received from a Bluetooth monitor during a workout;
- workouts imported from Apple Health or Health Connect, if you enable that.
We have no server that receives this data, and we cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes it. If you want a copy, use Export data in Settings: it writes a JSON file that you own and can keep anywhere.
What can leave your phone
Anonymous statistics. To know whether the app works, it can send usage counts through AppMetrica, an analytics service by Yandex. These are events like "a workout was finished" with shapes only: how many exercises it had, how many minutes it took, whether it included cardio. No exercise names, weights, dates, notes or heart rates are ever sent. The app does not use the advertising identifier, does not ask for tracking permission and does not track location.
Crash reports. If the app crashes, a technical report (device model, OS version, the stack trace) can be sent through the same service so we can fix the bug. It contains no training data.
Both are controlled by one switch, Anonymous statistics, in Settings. Off means nothing is sent. Builds without an analytics key never start the service at all.
Health data
On iPhone, Evenset can read workouts from Apple Health and, if you turn it on, write your finished workouts back. This happens only after you grant permission in the system dialog, only for the workout data type, and only between the app and Health on your device. Health data is never included in analytics and never sent anywhere.
Bluetooth heart rate monitors
The app uses Bluetooth only to find and connect to a heart rate monitor you choose. The readings are stored with the workout on your phone. The app remembers the device so it can reconnect next time; Forget device removes it.
Notifications
Rest timer and workout reminders are local notifications scheduled on the device. No push service and no server are involved.

- Bluetooth: heart rate monitors, optional.
- Health: import and optional write-back of workouts, optional.
- Notifications: timers and reminders, optional.
- Files: only when you export or import your own JSON file.
The app does not ask for location, camera, contacts or photos.
Children
Evenset is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new effective date. Substantive changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
